Group Tours
The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum Campus is highly popular with motorcoach operators, school groups, church groups, and educators. Special rates apply to groups of 12 or more. Reservations for group visits should be made well in advance to ensure proper assistance by museum staff.
In our Motor Lifeboat House, guests can view a 20-minute video which takes visitors to the depths of Lake Superior to discover the wrecksite of the Edmund Fitzgerald. To help with your scheduling, or if you wish more time exploring the site, we can provide the video to be viewed on the coach. Many operators request the video in advance of their visit to show while enroute to Whitefish Point. The escort may also take a copy with them to show after visiting.

The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum hosts hundreds of students each season from public and private elementary schools and high schools. Museum docents are trained to attend to students’ needs and answer their questions about Michigan’s Maritime History.
Experienced museum staff can work with teachers to prepare special curriculum lessons to prepare for the visit to Whitefish Point. Please make sure that you contact the museum well in advance of your scheduled tour date to arrange these lessons.
Pricing for school class trips is the same as for all group tours.
