47th GLSHS Annual Member Meeting & Dinner
Shipwreck Society members are invited to the 47th GLSHS Annual meeting, where the business of the non-profit corporation will be conducted. This will include the membership voting to approve a potential slate of GLSHS Directors, as presented by the nominations committee. The event also provides a nice opportunity to see and hear firsthand, about new developments and projects occurring at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum/Whitefish Point.
- GLSHS Annual Business Meeting and Dinner will be held at the Whitefish Township Community Center.
- Guest Speaker is John U. Bacon – New York Times Bestselling Author who will give an introduction of his new book – The Gales of November: The Untold Story of the Edmund Fitzgerald
- Tickets are $30 per person

John U. Bacon has written 13 books, including seven national bestsellers. He has written for dozens of major American publications, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Time Magazine, and Sports Illustrated, and appears often on national TV. In 2014 he won NPR’s prize for the nation’s best commentary. His fourteenth book, The Gales of November: The Untold Story of the Edmund Fitzgerald, comes out October 7 th , followed by a national tour.
